Question

Is there anybody using either of these manufacturers? Devil is used on the Peugeot 206WRC.

Thanks.

Brian,

I have Remus box on my Impreza - very quiet - i.e. less noise than a standard exhaust!

Thanks

Gavin

I had the Remus and now have a Prodrive PPP backbox.

I stongly suggest you go the Magnex/Scoobysport/Prodrive route!

I heard several Remus exhausts, all sounded a bit different, mine was very loud and bassy but other sounded like OEM exhausts. Anyway, Magnex/Scoobysport/Prodrive will give you much better sound and performance!

Do Devil make a side exit one like they did for the Renault 5 GT turbo? ;-)

Thumbs down

I totally agree with ric!
Remus has a pretty bad reputation over here.
Go the route ric suggests! Additionally, you can almost buy Remus in supermarkets here!
Cheers

Thanks guys!

I asked this one cause i'm still looking for a supplier of HKS locally - i don't really want to ship anything in specially. These two names came up but when i did a search i found one made bike pipes and the other made pipes for the French (not that i have anything against that).

I found a guy selling A'Pexi yesterday but the Downpipe was only a small dia. with large flange. I don't think it helps the flow.

m8, if you are looking at the big Japanese names, take a squiz at Fujitsubo - their Legalis Super R is a motha of a system. One our mems has one on an STi4 RA. Sounds great - made a nice difference to response when he fitted it too.

no idea on the money side of things tho -

Thanks AJ but I called Fujitsubo in Japan, after i got your first message a few weeks ago, through an agent i have there and was told they had no outlet or distributor locally.

I don't really want to go through all the hasstle of importing unusual systems (for me anyway) when i can get other stuff such as HKS, A'pexi and MRT through people already here. I asked about the above because there is a guy importing these as well.

HKS have advised a D/P of 75mm and no cat for just over GBP100 so i might try that. I don't know, though, if this is the same size everybody raves about on here (after S/S) but with no cat it has to make a difference. The US and Japanese web sites for HKS and A'pexi are cr@p and didn't tell me anything i needed to know. All i know is that the HKS pipe is less than half the price of MRT and SS etc.

thanks again.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the HKS downpipe. Seems very reasonable for £100!!
