Default Rear diff seal.

Just noticed that there is a bit of residual oil around the metal casing from the rear diff. I think its coming from the prop side. Does anyone know if there is a seal here because I was going to remove the prop from the flange and was hoping if this flange could be removed from the diff to allow access to the seal. Has anyone done this before? I don't really want to remove the prop to find that there is no way I can pull out the shaft in the diff. Hope this all makes sense Thanks again.
