Squeeling Clutch
#1
On Saturday night my clutch started making a squeeling noise for about half a second as I pulled away from standstill. Now it wasn't doing this all the time but did it at least twice. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I had been in stop start traffic for a while and then had to do a lot of three point turns as I was looking for a friends house and got completely lost. Is there any chance that the clutch got hot and this was causing the squeeking noise??
My car is a MY00 and the original Clutch was replaced at 10,000 miles due to clutch judder. The uprated P1 clutch has only covered 5000 miles.
Add to this the fact that I drove my girlfriends mums Y reg Astra 1.6 which showed up just how stiff and grabby the clutch is on my Impreza and you might say I am getting a little p!ssed off with it now.

Once I mentioned the clutch judder (Felt like the engine was trying to jump out of the car) they immediately booked the car in to have a new clutch fitted. They didn't actually say they fitted a P1 clutch but I have heard that the Subaru approved fix for clutch judder is to fit P1 parts/
Is the clutch on all imprezas stiff or is there something wrong with mine?. Really p!ssing me off now that my 21K impreza is on it's second clutch at 15K and that doesn't seem to be right.

Clutch action on mine, 21k miles, is fine, quite light. Reason I'm having it replaced is that its making a bit of a grinding noise when changing gear and they think its the pressure plate.
