Question

I am also having probs with my box(LOLdirty minded people). No seriously with second gear. When going from 1st to 2nd it crunches in, i can overcome this problem by slightly pulling the stick to the left when going into second but it's doing my head in. Has any one got any ideas, does the box need aligned slightly.

Help Please

Again this problem sounds like a bent selector fork, or it could be that the plastic hub guides are worn on the selector fork, that is the only adjustments you can make.

Thanx submannz but is it possible to see the bent selector fork or hub from underneath the car and are they easy to repair.

actually submanz all the selector forks are adjustable but you have to order a different size one from i.m in fact as i think about it nearly every thing in the box is adjustable even the size of gears it's only by a couple of thou but this can make all the difference.

Yes of course you can adjust the size/tollerances by swapping it with something else.

No you would need to remove the box and break it open.

We know it's Sunday but if you give Ian Brown a ring on 01524 734541 or Mobile 07712 649563 he will be only too happy to help.

What he doesn't know about Subaru gear boxes isn't worth knowing and does all the Subaru gear kits, re-builds and repairs for Town End Garage Motorsport who also have loads of second hand boxes and parts if you require them.

Hope this helps,

Stu.
