Car won't start
Help,
My 93 WRX wouldn't start this PM.
It's turning over, the fuel pump is working but it won't fire.
I've joined the connectors under the dash but the CEL is flashing continuously (meaning no fault found?).
The exhaust overheat warning lamp is on tho' - what does this mean?
Is it something to do with the lambda sensor going faulty?
Answers or advice greatly received.

Mine was a non starter a while ago.
I did the following checks:
Tried cleaning the crank & cam sensor (quick wipe of of any dirt)
Tried a spare crank & cam sensor from a friends car ( does not take that long to swap over)
Checked for spark by removing 1 coil pack & fitting a spare spark plug then resting it against the body work, then get a friend to turn the ignition whilst I checked for spark. I tested all 4.
Then I tried removing all plugs, gave them a clean, unplugged the crank sensor, turned the igntion & cranked the engine for a few seconds. Then refitted the plugs & tried starting it again without touching the gas pedal.
Luckly for me it then started.

It could be perhaps it had flooded etc, or one of your two sensors are about to go. Had this before with a non start issue, no check light showing. Then eventually a cam sensor fault showed up.
