New clutch judder???
The M reg WRX i've just bought has had a new clutch fitted recently but when pulling away in first even when warm it judders a bit..it isn't bad but my old one never did this.
Also when changing gear it dosn't seem to 'catch' right..like it's not reacting quick enough.I belive the clutch isn't adjustable so maybe the cylinder is on it's way out??

Hey Alan,
I've just got myself into a 02 WRX, and it too seems to shudder in 1st....
I may have to try some harder launches myself, see if it clears up.
Thanks guys.

Hey there guys,
Alan, (and anyone else this may help..)
I've just had my 02 into the service dealer (for its major service) Two good points come from it.
1) The service wasn't nessesary, as the dealer whom I purchased off, neglected to log it into the service manual....... ....The guys I delt with for the service are a related company to the dealer, and were absolutely
fantastic to deal with. As soon as they started dropping the oil and other fluids, they realised that it all looked very fresh, checked with the seller, and found out (too late) that it had been completed prior to sale..(to me...)
Guess they should've checked first.....lol...They completed the service regardless, as they had everything drained, and all the new stuff ready to go back in, including timing belt, plugs, filters.....
What would normally be a $800 -$1000 AUS service cost me $162 AUS
As it was their mistake, they only charged the small service fee......
2) What did show up (I mentioned that the clutch felt weird in 1st, shudder..)
was that the "centre diff" was causing problems.....not allowing the correct front/rear drive bias....?? They said, "if left alone, and not replaced, it could cause the gearbox to fail.....
It was replaced "under w/tee" last Friday, and has made a huge difference to the way the car feels and drives.....
Just something to concider Mate, maybe have it checked out on yours too...
