Question

Most posts seem in agreement that the PPP on the MY01 improves "mid range" power and torque. Where in the rev range is the mid range? Is it 3000 - 5000 etc?

Well on my MY00 turbo the PPP inproves the midrange from 2500 to the red line should do the same for yours
But it will give you more torque around the 3500 mark normally.

Car now picks up nicely at 2250 rpm. Goes Banzai at 4500 revs when the engine note changes.

Most difference to me is the 4th and 5th gears - they pull and pull whereas before you had to change to 3rd.

Get one!

LoFi, pick up a UK300 brochure where there are power graphs. They show that the PPP increases power throughout the rev range, with the biggest increase at 4,000 rpm. Looking at the curves, there is a dramatic increase in torque between 3-5,000 rpm.

Thumbs up

Thanks for that - I'll get the UK300 book and take a look at the graphs. I know I'd end up saving. After 2000mile in the MY01 I can't help but feel it's a bit tardy until 4000 and then all over just after 6000. £1600 is a ot of cash though - might see if I can try one b4 ordering
