Default should my new clutch slip ??

been told needs 500 miles to bed in

had 2 exeedy`s and they went
now on an AP and still slippin` after 365 miles
this seems strange but been told by fitters it is normal for upto 500 miles
bit cheesed as wanna drive car since new ecu and remap
could it be too much torque which was one reason why exeddy`s may have gone but i cant see it tbh

any thoughts much appreciated

I have an AP Oroganic in my Sti v3.
Perfect grip from the first mile.
My car runs 407 bhp and 380 lbft torque and i promise you i did not run it in except for this:

Something else wrong I'm afraid.

mis-adjusted pedal/m/cylinder...............??

what sort of power/torque are you running? what use do you put your car to??

none of the clutches mentioned should slip "out of the box", so suggest you have another issue

Your clutch should work out of the box, just like Alyn and Graham say.
Sounds like the job has not been done properly and more than once.
Clutches DO NOT slip for the first 500mls and anybody that says they do is talking bollocks.
You could ask Paul Knowles at Extreme Scoobies to have a look at it.

If whoever fitted the clutch was careless with oil and/or grease, it can take a while to burn off the plates and it will slip.....as I learned to my expense But this would also be accompanied by a nice smell when stopping after a hard launch/slip session.

I'd say its pedal adjustement, needs to be at least 1/2" free travel between the pedal and the actuator, otherwise the clutch doesn't release properly. Its adjustable at the pedal.
