Unhappy

Can anyone help please? Earlier on this year, my 4 year old Impreza turbo was off the road for 9 days with ECU failure. 10 days ago (ie under 10,000 miles since the last time), it failed again and the garage can't get it going. They have tried a new immobiliser ECU and the engine still won't start. They have put in another general ECU and it won't start. The have one more thing to try: the aerial around the ignition barrel that picks up the signal from the key. If that doesn't work, they have told me that they don't know what else to do. Can anyone please come up with any suggestions? Has anyone else suffered from this problem? I am at my wits end and Scoobyless.

Thanks everyone,

Sue Orchard

You would be better off at a Subaru dealer who will have the proper Subaru electronic diagnostic machine (Select Monitor) to determine what is wrong.

a new immobiliser ecu will require the keys to be recoded so it wont start but get them to trailer it to a local dealer to find out what is wrong
