DCCD Handling
Hiya,
Not too sure if this is normal or not but when taking small roundabouts at medium speed (spirited sharp cornering) car feels like it digs in and feels 'wavy' at the rear? It just don't feel right.
My old WRX just flew round...
Is this the DCCD being normal or playing up?
I have an STi5 RA LTD
Cheers for any help and suggestions.

It should also have a helical front LSD rather than the open front diff of most other classic shape Imprezas. This contributes to the strange sensation at the front compared to other imprezas. With the DCCD in open mode (bottom light only) it will be very rear wheel drive biased and happily start wagging the rear eng on power. You can adjust the diff forward (on the thumbwheel) a little to give less oversteer. Be careful in the wet as you can create terminal understeer with the DCCD locked too much.

Even worse, whwn going round corners it feels like it is slowing down then speeding up, sort of a jerking motion as I go round.
Do you think my DCCD is knackered?

how much experimentation did you do? are your problems on full throttle out the corner? Turn in or transition on part throttle?
Sounds like i might be grabbing a little, or that you have just tried to adjust it too far in one go. If it's the former, you can try a little LSD additive in your gearbox, otherwise more experimentation is required.

my STI RA did this before the geometry was corrected. When you enter a corner and hold a constant (fast) speed it waves from one side to the othera, bit quicker than once a second. Think it was the rear thrust angle, shows up a lot more with a rear bias obviously.
