Cool Engines swap

Hi,

What other engines would be ok to fit in MY98 UK turbo using the original inlet manifold and all sensors? so just bolt in and run type job?

New age inc sti?
MY99?
MY 93-96?

Basically if I could get a complete engine from any of the above would all my ancillaries bolt on with no messing?

Thanks

George

Anything upto and including MY98.

MY99 onwards the threads for the inlet manifold are in different locations on the heads

Thanks,

Do you think the standard ecu would cope with an sti engine? or would it be better to find something from a uk turbo or wrx?

Thanks

Mmmm, from my understanding, my98 cars are phase 1.5, therefore it would need to be another phase 1.5 engine, ie, my98.... the ealier sensors etc are different, as are the later one, also, an sti would have different injectors, therefore the ecu will not be fueling it correctly.....

Wink

Hi,

Would just be complete engine, block and heads. All ancillaries would come from my other engine injectors, inlet manifold etc.

Cheers

George
