Default Using exhaust paste on headers?

Fitting GruppeS v2 headers to a H&S slip jointed uppipe.

The collector ID is 58mm on the headers and the uppipe is 51mm. I have had a 58mm steel gasket made up and am going to open up the flange a little un the uppipe.

I was thinking of using Holts exhaust paste, but I have been told there is a high temp silicone sealant that will work better, but I can't find any.

Do most people here bolt up the steel gasket dry?

What paste (if any) do you use?

Where can I find this HT Silicno sealant?

cheers

As a general rule dont use paste on any pipes before the turbo for fear of any remnants of paste coming off internally and entering the turbo...
Always use Subaru gaskets too as they seem to be more resilient than aftermarket ones.

Walker 81116 gaskets are pretty good larger ID up pipe gaskets.

Thats why I'm not sure on using paste at all!

But silicone shouldn't go brittle but all I can find is stuff rated to 300 deg c which isn't up to it!!

Where could I get this Walker stuff? Quickly!!

Best I could find was:

http://www.intek-uk.com/silicone_sealant.htm
Silcoset 158 up to 300 deg C.
They have other stuff on the site but not enough info of use.
