Default gt spec headers to up-pipe gasket :(

has been blowing so i got a mate to make 1 for me and that blew instant
so i got 3 of the original ones and fitted 1 last week and now thats blowing

had 1 go in the middle of a re-map so that messed that up . . .

at £15 a pop its getting expensive to replace every week

the flange is the 3 nut/bolt type and the up-pipe is supplied with the gt headers

question is - i have 2 more here and will need to use 1 asap
im thinking of using the other 1 to make a template for getting someone to make me an EXTRA strong 1
what would be the best material to use ?

If they are blowing that quickly, there will be something wrong with either the flange on the headers, or on the up pipe.

The only way to solve the issue, is to take the parts off, and find what's causing it.

There will most likely be tell tale signs, by looking where it's leaking on the gasket.

make sure they are tight. If loose they are more likely to go. Flat flanges would be a good start too.
