Does the light only come on when you're nailing it..?

Okay, cool. Reason why I asked was because the missus was having problems recently with a crankshaft sensor -- the CEL would only come on now and then, usually if she'd nailed it or braked hard. Given it was the same model/year, I thought I'd test the theory for you (although I had no idea how to check her error code(s)).

Got an extended warranty to get the sensor replaced..? My missus did.

Thanks Tim, although no doubt the missus won't be interested

The warranty was care of Subaru, as part of their Proven used car scheme. Sometimes stuff like that just works out in life.

Cheers,

Jonty.
