Default Gearbox subframe bolt

As some of you may have read in my project I've managed to damage the thread to the floor pan location nut

Can anybody tell me what thread this is, so I can buy the appropriate tap & die.

Mark

Is it the 17mm headed bolt? hard to tell from your picture. If so it'll be an M12x1.5 or 1.25

Sorry Mark it's upside down of course.

Yes I'm sure it's the 17mm bolt that fits it.

Mark, I think it is a fine pitch M12.
I had a similar problem fitting my rear diff cross member back a year or so back.
I took the bolt to a good tool shop and they measured everything etc. New tap (intermediate) cost about £6 iirc.
Good to have one as this thread size crops up everywhere on the car.

Graham.

Measured the bolt today M12 1.25 fine pitch, now to find a tap. The works dept have cleaned the thread on the bolt so I can reuse it.
