Default MRT Up Pipe Defender

Has anyone fitted one of these ?

Would like to know where it is fitted please, it has two wires one red and one black/red. This is for the Cel fix. I have an MY02. I know it goes in line with a sensor on the up pipe (obviously) Any help much appreciated..

Thanks

Up-pipe sensor in a MY02 is for Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT). There should be a plug which connects to the sensor in the up-pipe with only two wires going to it. All you need to "fix" that is to either replace the sensor itself, or to put in a suitably rated resistor (I think 2.2KOhms off the top of my head)

However, every CEL fix I've come across is for to the Oxygen Sensor at the bottom of the downpipe. Are you sure that the fix you have doesn't relate to that?
