Question Help needed - Strange Noise

I recently purchased my first scooby (UK MY99 Turbo).

Today, it started making a strange noise. As I depress the clutch under load a it makes a strange noise (sounds like vibrating / scraping) which seems to originate from behind the dash board / behind the drivers foot well.

I have noticed that the noise is more apparent when the clutch is only slightly depressed like when you are riding the clutch a little?

Does anybody have any idea what this might be?

I must add that appart from this noise the car drives perfectly, the clutch doesnt slip and the gearbox seems fine.

Thanks

Chris

My old dears sport does that.
