Red top?
Hi all
I have been looking on the Auto trader after a good day of insurance quotes and see some of the Sti's are Red tops I have herd about some Vauxhalls being red tops but didnt know that Scoobs had this as well
What is the difference in the red tops to say a normal WRX Sti
Or is it a case of not a lot really?

From: Braintree - 321BHP, 285Lbft-Perfect Standard' Ish STi Ver. III
Apart from the really early Wrx STi's, all STi's come with red-top engines, the standard wrx's dont, the difference being, better internals etc etc...www.sidc.co.uk have the answers i believe

All the cars with red tops have some paint flaking off, hammered or not.

My 5 Type R has led a fairly relaxed life, and has some flaking of the Manifold paint - happened when trying to clean the engine bay (got a bit too close with power washer) - so flakiness could be a sign of a bit of pampering too!
