In theory, yes - the basic shape is the same. However, if the downpipe is fitted with a "splitter" that is matched to the turbo, you might have to take a grinder to it - IIRC the VF34 (?) fitted to the STi needs a bigger splitter than the TD04.

I know my downpipe (cast APS one) was designed to cope with either - it had two little lines on it to indicate "grind to here if you have a TD04"!

Okay, the downpipe does not have a splitter (its a miltek sports cat) its a totally open face. so the outside of the flange's is the same then?

Dont worry it`ll fit a treat, ive got a Miltek sportscat on my my02 wrx
(coutesy of powerstation) , it`ll fit sti`s & wrx`s.

All you have to do is trim the turbo heatshield a bit & it goes straight on, the
only sti bit is an extra mounting lug on the side which would normally bolt onto
the larger sti gearbox (which we havent got )

cheers Andy

the my02sti exhaust should fit perfectly on your my02 wrx, same mountings if i remember correctly. Its only when you start trying to fit exhaust sections from classics you get probs.

e.g on the classic backbox the rear hanger goes the other way & i believe the downpipe is longer ( although i could be wrong about that ).

If either of you didn't know about it, check out www.scoobyzone.co.uk for the South West owners. Various meetings etc, generally a friendly bunch although some of them are strange

I live & work a few miles south of stroud (02WRX in silver with a few mods), but do use Stroud shops when I can't be bothered with Cribbs or Gloucester.

I fitted a wrx sti PPP DP on my MY01 WRX not problems. The only thing is that the bracket on the the exhaust from the gearbox does not fit onto the STI DP, but no problem.
I took pictures of the exhaust change if you need info.

The PPP downpipe will be made to fit the 6 spd box - I also had this trouble.
