Default Is this covered under warranty?

I discovered yesterday that I get a dollop of blue smoke out the back if I boot it in first after driving 20 yards from cold. It only seems to do it once, although I haven't done any extensive trials, so I guess it could be oil collecting somewhere overnight? Is this worth trying to get fixed under warranty? What's it likely to be caused by, knackered turbo? Valve seals? worn piston rings?
Many thanks in advance,
Toe
PS. It's a 'facelifted' manual Forester S-Turbo, was 3 yrs old in September (I have extended warranty until this september.) No mods.

If you have extended the warranty and you have no mods then you effectively have a full new Subaru warranty. Don't see why it wouldn't be covered.

I would also think about driving more than 20yds from cold before booting it.
It takes me about 15/20 minutes in the morning to get my my99 up to booting temp (>80degs.C).
will do wonders for the longevity of the engine.

Oh I agree peanuts, I don't normally give it any sort of stick from cold in the mornings, but I did yesterday as I was in a rush.
