Can I use these 550 injectors?
Bought some 550cc injectors for my Sti v3 some months ago.
I was assured that they were correct for my engine.
Having just pulled my 440cc injector out, there are some differences as below:
Are these correct for my engine?
Can I get them to fit if I remove one of the aluminium collars?
All help appreciated!

Those are Denso 550s and are the ones i have just fitted to my sti 2. The rail looks like the phase 1.5 so you will need an adaptor kit from the likes of Carl Davey or Pavlo (If he still does them). It is really easy to install them after that.
Hope that helps

Oops just realised they have collars already on them. In that case it should be a simple case of using plenty of vaseline and forcing them in. Using longer M5 bolts and the retaining cap (without the rubber bung in!) you can push the injector into the rail and then replace with the supplied bolts to hold them in as usual.
Perhaps the collars that are on them are wrong too which means you will need a kit as i said in the first place. If you want Carl's email so you cna get some then just pm me.

If your 550s are the ones in the picture above, then they already have a set of adaptors supplied by me. They will fit straight in, but the injector itself should be modified slightly to make the existing retainer caps fit more easily.
Also cut the small rubber bung that resides in the retainer in half, so it's half as thick.
