Difference between total linkage or just 'shortshift'

Sorry my English is not that good and I don't know if it's already mentioned. But is the sti whole linkage kit any better than just the short shifter ?

Total linkage kit has a harder rubber bush - that's the only difference.

So only the shortshift is 'enough' ?

ive just replaced the linkage on my93 wrx with the sti complete linkage type its made one hell of a difference and it selects reverse gear first time aswell i would reccomend this mod to anyone .
