Why would you want too? The MY95 is far more rugged.

What ECU do you have?

I was told that a '99 was around 2.5bar which was much better than the earlier ones?

It's to be used in conjunction with a ScoobyECU remap along with some 440's and an FSE fuel regulator.

*****... ignore me. Read that as MAF sensor... doh.

I had a MY99 one which i got from a scrapper to use with my scoobyecu, but them moved to a Link, then Apexi PFC. So never managed to install it. Best person to speak to is dnb. He has done a couple and changed the code in the map so it's not so much a bodgy job. You can run up to 1.7 bar using one.

Make sure you get the loom connector for the new MAP sensor, as it's different to the old one. A connector from the old MAP would help too, as you can then make up an adaptor lead.

The new sensor fits in exactly the same location as the old one so it looks tidy and like it's meant to be there.

I have the pinout for the new connector written on a scrap of paper. I'll post it up when I find it.

As Tony said, I've done a couple now and it works quite well. (the limit of 1.7 bar is caused by the ECU code, not the new MAP sensor)

A connector from an ISCV can also be used, that is what i had. May even have a spare. The pins from your connector will just come out and snap into the ISCV connector. Only problem is the ISCV is grey not black, so it doesn't look as groovy .

Just contacted Grade A as they supplied the sensor without the wiring loom adaptor. Hopefully they should be able to provide it

If not i'll need to do some improvisation

I have the wiring diagrams to help you. I have already done this on my car. Pm me an email and i will send it to you. Oh and you don't need to use any new connectors just the ones already there.

According to my diagram (assuming the pressure sensor is the MAP sensor) then there should be three wires coming from an original MY95 sensor. Coming from the ECU these are:

Yellow/Green - Power Supply
Yellow/Black - Signal
Red/Green - GND

Yellow/Green - This goes to the fourth connector from the left on the ECU & is the third pin from the right on the top row.

Yellow/Black - This goes to the fourth connector from the left on the ECU & is the fourth pin from the right on the top row.

Red/Green - This goes to the fourth connector from the left on the ECU & is the second pin from the left on the bottom row.

I'll try & put together a diagram of the connector from the manual but it would be good to know what wire goes where on a MY99

Okay couldn't be bothered to draw a diagram but here's the positions:

From the sensor there is a three pin connector which is laid out as follows:

Top right - Red/Green (GND)
Top left - Yellow/Green (Power)
Bottom - Yellow/Brown (Signal)

From the ECU this is reversed:

Top right - Yellow/Green (Power)
Top left - Red/Green (GND)
Bottom - Yellow/Brown (Signal)

Having not actually looked at the unit (it's dark!) I could be completely wrong but I think that is right LOL
