i figured you guys must know whats up with my car when i stop the car and put it in park and turn the engine off i get a huge CLUNK which feels like its moving the teeth into park but what confused me is when i put a fuse in the diff lock this dosnt happen the gearbox is fine in all gears the car has only done 30000 miles its a wrx import 96 thanks guys hopefully someone will be able to help

The fuse in the diff lock is just for towing and effectively makes the car 2wd thus safe to tow slowly for a short distance. Not part of your problem I suspect.
Otherwise I'm not sure I understand your description of the the other clunk, try again in different words to see if it's me being thick.
