Default MY04 WRX. Want to hit 315/320bhp, reliability important.

I'm pondering throwing some money at my 04 WRX. It's already PPP'd so it's got the intercooler hose, decat centre section and Prodrive ECU.

I'm guessing i'm going to need :-

Turbo - any suggestions? As little lag as possible plse.
Injectors
Decat downpipe
Decat uppipe
Remap
Uprated fuel pump?
FPR?

Will the stock I/C be ok at 315/320bhp or am i looking at a swap to an Sti one? It's an 04 model so has the larger scoop.

Will my clutch and gearbox be ok?

Will my brakes be ok? If not could i get away with a pad upgrade?

Last thing - yes i know about the warranty.

Thanks for any help/comments.

I would say a full decat, headers, STI panel filter and a decent TEK3 should get you there, your fuel pump is already uprated with PPP

Ooops, misread and thought STI

Which means all of your list if you haven't got 440 injectors.

TD05FE would be the affordable turbo option, but there may be others which would spool up quicker if 320 is the max.

Thanks chaps.

What about the I/C? Anyone want to hazard a guess as to it's limit?

It's coping with 260bhp odd fine atm.

Turbo TD05FE
Full Decat
Headers and Up-pipe
STI Intercooler
Good Tek 3 remap
Fuel Pump

Clutch and gearbox will cope with 320bhp
You should be OK with the OE injectors

I would think that you are getting near it's limit, I'm running 269bhp on my 2004 wrx and am thinking about trying to get 300-320bhp as well so i changed my I/C for a STi I/C anyway just to be on the safe side, when i had the standard I/C i could sometimes get my knocklink to light up very quickly but since i put the STi I/C on it never lights up (and i have checked it's still working) so i think a STi I/C would be a wise choice anyway.

i have the sti IC on my 03wrx, also uprated injectors, turbo, and all hosing (brakes are very important as you really out to be able to stop the thing...)

Mine is currently a little dissapointing 295bhp and 282lbft though. Map is being tweaked on monday again i think.

Granby, ive got no idea how you managed 300lb from a TD04!! well played chap!
