Looking into getting the blitz nur spec back box and i`ve got two questions please folks:

1. How loud is it compared to say either a prodrive back box or the Afterburner Vortex and how much of a noise reduction does a bung make?
2. Will this back box be a direct replacement to my prodrive back box?

I've just ordered mine from stiracing,

(1) Not sure yet as haven't received mine but I'm expecting it to be louder than my old H&S scoobysport back box. The Nur Spec R is louder (system from cat back) and comes with the bung to reduce the noise. I dont think the Nur Spec backbox on it's own has a bung fitment.

(2) It should connect to the original centre (so I'm told). I'm connecting mine to a H&S scoobysport centre (which I think is same fitment as the OEM centre).

I have one on mine with a 3inch bore (2.5inch flange removed). I also have a Mongoose downpipe and centre which has a resonator and silencer. I find it fine without a bung. Not much louder on cruise/idle than my 4inch mongoose backbox but a little louder when you press the loud peddle.

All in all I find this a nice setup, even if you do alot of motorway miles. I have a bung for mine but never use it....in fact i tend to drive with the rear seats folded down as it sounds brilliant.

Not entriely sure what the difference is between the Nur Spec and the Nur Spec R (if any)?

I know the R comes as a package and the other is just the backbox.

R has 3inch bore
non R has 3inch bore but a 2.5inch flange.
