DCCD Controller options
Hey there Gents,
Hailing from Perth, Western Australia.
Was hoping someone could help me.
I've just received a v4 STI RA, DCCD electronic centre diff. Along with 4.11's front crown wheel and pinion (cusco 1 way mechanical lsd), 1:1 drop gears, v4 DCCD casing and selector rod and R160 4.11 rear diff.
This is being fitted up to a v6 wrx gearcase with Holinger dogset. My questions are as follows:
The dccd did not come with any form of controller only the loom from the centre itself . What options are available to get control? Im waiting on MoTeC to verify if i can control via the M800 ecu the vehicle currently has. Is there a DIY version or aftermarket item available?
Secondly, on the output shaft where the centre mates up, i noticed the internal of the dccd centre is spring loaded and tends to 'lean' on the output shaft where the bearings are. Is this normal?
Also, is there somewhere where i can gain technical information on the DCCD setup for the GC8 series of STI's?
Any info would be great, and yes i have done a search and slowly scouring thru the scoobynet resources.
Thanks again

Re. the controller - to get the OE stuff you need the trim wheel and a new dash pod. It would be quite easy to have something made up to do the same I guess. Maybe do a search on bbs.22b.com - I'm sure someone had a DCCD controller circuit.
But why bother - the default rear biased split will be perfect anyhow?
