98 Bottom end

98 Bottom end
advice needed i have a 98 bottom end (short engine) can i replace it with my 95 one, or is the compression ratio different if it is is there a way around it without sourcing a 98 head etc

No problem - straight in, just use the thick head gaskets and it'll be fine. There are extra bolts on the clutch housing of the newer block but as your gearbox doesn't have them they won't be able to be fitted - again no problem.

thank you david i have a pair of gaskets but i dont know if they are thick ones how thick is thick.
