Dont get a TSL Firestorm or TSL Typhoon then - I have former one, love it to bits, but it would be too loud for you - very boomy when cruising. I think alot of people go for Scoobysport rear box as best overall compromise.

Revolution System - Plenty of power gains without the noise

I have a TSL firestorm and TSL performance mid section (no middle box ) , de-cat downpipe ... and its very load...boomy inside the car but you get used to it after a bit.
With dump valve fitted it pops and bangs rather well , especially when changing from first to second :-) ...love it... well worth the money. Sound awesome when you hear someone else driving it round the block..
If too loud then can get the mid section with the box...

As one or two people have commented, resonated centre section will keep some of the boom down. The quietest backboxes include Remus, Prodrive, APS, MRT - Prodrive is easiest to get hold of. Scoobysport used to do a "quiet" backbox too, which might be a good option as well. I've not heard any aftermarket straight through exhaust where the flat 4 burble is not very present. I've got a full APS system - much quieter than most scooby exhausts, sounds very sweet (several people with other exhausts have commented they like mine) without much boom in the car. I still find people in "normal" cars think mine is noisy.

Na! I have a HKS downpipe and centre section fitted with a H+S backbox,it sounds fantastic. Not bad inside the car but monstrous from outside.
