Just got a brand new WR Sport backbox to replace the std twin tailpipe on my MY00, tried to get it fitted today but the connection to the centre pipe (flange) was out - didn't meet correctly, have i bought a duff, it's supposed to be for a classic shape UK turbo. Should it fit straight on?? Any help appreciated.

 

Any ideas anyone?

 

Mine fitted like a glove. It wasn't brand new but off another MY00.

Did you get the one for the new age models, by mistake. Might be worth checking the part number.

 

it was bought from scoobynet, apparently bought for a MY99. Do you happen to have the model no?

 

It's probably the one for the Sport as the flanges are different.

got to be 1 for the sport bud . .
difference between ours and new age is the rear hanger ,same place but pointing opposite way
if fitted,the tail-pipe will be in the right place but OBVIOUSLY the hanger wont be any good.

so,its got to be from a sport.

 

Have WR sport box on my MY00, straight swap, later moder units as mentioned have different hanger positions, so definetly looks like one for the Sport, Money back ??

Well i'm taking it to the dealer to ask them if it is the wrong one. I'll be bloody annoyed with the guy who sold it to me though.

 

Yep dealer confirmed, backbox is indeed for a classic sport. Thanks to the guy who sold it to me. MUCH APPRECIATED
