Default high flow cats

im thinking of putting a high flow cat into my centre pipe, the exhaust manufacturer who will do the work reckons ill only loose about 5-10bhp im really not that bothered about loosing this level of power

im guessing my car is somewhere in the 350-400bhp bracket is it adviseable to fit a high flow cat, or will it take away more power than im quoted or prepared to loose

It's advisable if you want to be legal??
I used a Power Engineering sport centre cat on my 99my when I had it and it worked very well (still would'nt quite get me through the MOT with the Link ECU though, but that's a well known Link thing.)
I would doubt if you would feel virtually any power loss especially if you had the map tweeked. The slight reduction in noise may also reduce the chances of you being pulled! (See the threads where people are bleating about being done for excessive noise)
