im thinking on buying a magnex 3.5" round and decat center section. has anyone else got this on a classic. how does it sound and did you notice a power increase. cheers marty.

 

This was the first thing I did to mine. Back box alone upped the midrange a bit, but I did the de-cat along with other stuff so I don't know how much that gave.

The de-cat center on mine is resonated so I wouldn't take one again, and the back box is fairly huge. It's still quite quiet inside the car but loud outside. A nice pitch I think, much nicer than those HUGE jap style exhausts.

Makes you want to find tunnels

I had non-res centre and 3.5" on my previous classic, there's a good power increase with both and a good grumble without being too load.

I now have gone to the other extreme on my STI RA with HKS Hyper A little bit louder !!!

 

Probably not the most popular choice on here,as it isn't loud enough for most

quality and fit,probably as good as your gonna find out there.With an exhaust noise that really accentuates the engine note without annoying your neighbours are making your ears bleed

...just needs a bigger tailpipe IMHO

 

can't go wrong with the magnex mate! i ran a full magnex decat until i changed the b/box for a TSL firestorm to **** of the neighbours

excellent fit the magnex, and still looks as fresh as the day i fitted it. agreed the tailpipe could do with being 1/2" larger, but if you're going from std, it'll look big anyways

about 15 bhp and same in torque i would guess oh and a big smile!

 

Personally I think the 3.5" rolled in, is the nicest looking tail pipe on any classic. I think it works even better on the likes of mine though which looks bog standard.
