Please help,

I was out driving tonight and I think I have broken the gearbox.

I setoff from a stand still at an average speed changed from 1st gear to 2nd and as I changed there was a noise from the box and second gear no longer works.

First gear still works but is tighter, second acts as though the clutch is in and the rest are fine.

Does this mean I need a new box or can this one be repaired? if so any recomendations

sounds like the 2nd gear is gone. Yes this can be repaired but your probably better off with a new one. Other option is http://www.gruppe-s.com/Subaru/subtrn.htm
