Downpipe Fitting
Have have just got me a de-cat DP for a MY02 WRX, now is this an operation that I could easily do myself, if so does anyone have a guide or a few pics to help me on my way, or is it best left to a mechanic?

if it's anything like fitting one to a classic then it's a piece of cake until one of your nuts/bolts decides to make life hard for you
otherwise dead easy
undo the nuts holding it onto the turbo, then the one on the gearbox, then the ones connected to the centre section and thats about it
like i say, not familiar with the new shapes but can't be far off that

As said already, it's not a difficult job just awkward if one or more of the bolts have seized.
A little tip for you (which would have saved me alot of time had I known at the time
) is make sure you can actually loosen the bolt & stud where the downpipe joins the cat pipe (under the car) before you go to the bother of removing Intercooler, heatshield & turbo bolts. You don't want to find out that these have seized after you've done the hardest part.PM me if you need more help - I've done this twice now on an MY01
Mark.
