Hi fellas


Can any one please help !!

Have just started my EJ257 hybrid and in sounds horrible !!!, almost like the vale is touching the pistons

Will remove the cover to see if the alignment of the crank&cams are right, maybe it have moved a teeth or something... ??

any other ideas of what can be wrong
can any of the vale controller geting stuck due dirt etc ?

To little clearence with ej 257gasket,block and MY99 heads ?


it a mean metallic fast sound


ej257 with ej257 gasket
MY99 standard heads
oil used 15w40 mineral
ej257 STI cambelt & new tensioner


Please any idéas would be great..
