Boost drop for some reason?????
Hi guys
After just changing the oil in my Legacy for Motul 300V (trying to get rid of tappet noise but to no avail!) , i noticed on the long journey down to Devon the ECU decided it was a good idea to cut the boost to 5 PSI max, the engine check light came on once, so i pulled into the services, reset the ECU and back to 15 max we were...... for a while until it decided to limit the boost again! So basically whats wrong? I know the Maf has been playing up, would this cause the ECU to restrict the boost? At the moment its fairly perminant unless it has a good spell and alows me to boost more for a while.
Whats up guys as i can;'t be driving an old granny car for much longer ( even if it does save me fuel )
Cheers

Yeah , will do, one thing just to add, the ECU lets me rev the engine so pressumable its not gone into LIMP mode. And i have just done an ECU falt code check and that came up with nothing too!
