Default Full Decat possible problems??

Howdy all

I have a 98 v4 Type R with a Apexi cat-back exhaust. If I get a HKS downpipe for it as well could I cause any prolems like boost spikes etc by doing this.
I have a boost gauge and knocklink fitted already to keep an eye on things.

Thanks in advance for your help

I had an HKS downpipe didn't like it for 2 reasons

1. Its mild steel not stainless
2. It wasn't open necked.

You may find it runs lean, but as you don't have an air fuel ratio gauge you'll not know. If it was me then the least I would do is to upgrade the fuel pump and regulator and get an afr meter.

Dave.
