HI all, i have had a slight problem with my jdm 93 wrx which is ,, hesitation under heavy load,usually towards the red line on the rev counter,but it hasnt been that bad so just got used to it!! then i noticed a fair amount of oil coming out of the air intake namely around the pipe coming from the rocker breathers which recuculates back into the air intake,so took of all the pipes tonight and found oil in all the breather pipes and the air intake even as far as the maf sensor?? cleaned it all out tonight and thought i would vent the 3 breather pipes to atmosphere so it would'nt get all bunged up again..hairy muff i thought job done ...took it down the road gave it a bit of stick and smoke every where..pulled over popped the bonnet and oil all over the place ...can someone tell me how much oil should come out of the rocker vents.. or is there a big problem with my car..it must have been a cup full .....i expect someone will tell me its *****d but as long as i know....thanks ...

 

meant to say!! that is why i have had a misfire under hard acceleration, oil being sucked into induction pipe.....??

 

I've fitted a catch can to mine last week and as yet haven't got any oil in the can or in the pipes. I'd say you'd get a light coating after a while but a cup full on one journey..... not right at all.

Get it checked out as soon as you can before the engine lets go.
