Question flamer kits

I know some people disagree with these but from seeing some of your cars at the half way house i decided about time i tried to fnd out if i could get one fitted the big quesion on everyones lips is.....

I have a sport '98 it still has its cats but do i definately have to have these removed before it will spit flames.

Some people say i am going to need to over fuel the car but seems like most of the people i have spoken to on other local sites have just infered its pot luck some will flame without any exhaust work others wont flame unless you practically pour petrol down the exhaust and then light it.

The system is standard bar the back box which already throws off a reasonably loud pop and bang.

sorry for the long read just dont want to blow 100 quid to find out it wont work.

many thanks for any advice.

I've got a SCC flamer kit fitted to my MY00 (only mods HKS SSQV Dump Valve, Decat Centre and a Ninja BB) The flamer does work ok....it depends on what your looking for mate, if you want 6ft flames then its gonna have to be a full decat. I only get 2 ft flames Just how i like it.......

many thanks for the replies decided against the idea now as it sounds like sports simply dont flame very well without a full decat system and a little overfuelling, think i will save up and blow it on a turbo classic with a flmaer in a years time instead.
