Default timing belt fitting

Help.. I'm fitting a timing belt to my sti2 but everytime i tension the belt it pulls it off the timing marks a bit. Is there something i'm doing wrong?

they can be slightly off..

assuming you are at tdc the two marks on each pulley allign and the pulleys match with the marks on the cam covers then you should be ok...
