Any recommendations on what I should put in its place? Should I fit another STi clutch or go for something else?

For a nice road set-up I would suggest an Exeedy or AP Organic assembly, add a new Sti thrust bearing. Cost about £350 ish. Phone around. Fitting is about the same, and if you have not done this job before it is worth EVERY penny. bitch of a job.
