i have a problem with my MY99 impreza turbo. it seems that in traffic, when im rolling around in 1st gear and i tap the accelerator, the car lurches forward. the accelerator either seems to be at 0% or 10%, and i cant find that 2% of throttle just to roll the car forward slightly. the only way to do this is to ride the clutch, otherwise the car jerks, lurches forward. also, there seems to be no free play at all in the acclerator pedal. whats up with that?

Just an idea, but have you checked the linkage on the throttle body to make sure its not stuck? Might need lubeing.
