I have a full de-cat on MY02 bugeye. There is a Scoobysport back box on it now.

Does anyone know of a quieter back box that isn't any more restrictive than the scoobysport back box.

Apart from the STI back box that is quite restrictive compared with yours only Prodrive's is similar spec but haven't test it yet on my car in order to tell you with proof the results!

LOL Pete, what happened to your other thread ?

try a resonated centre section, it may help with cabin noise (if you havent already)

Is your DP lagged, as that may help too with the noise

Hi Steve, i didn't want the hassle of swapping for a resonated centre and i'm not bothered about cabin noise but if it helps i'll have to consider it

I just cant understand why it seems really loud, well, louder than a lot of decats with the Scoobysport bb on it............................. or is it me

 

NO you aren't the only with this problem, believe me, I sold my SS backbox to a friend with MY00 and isn't loud at all...!
