Default Tek3 question.

My Classic goes for a Tek 3 soon. I have a full H&S decat with an Afterburner BB and Sti panel filter and it will be remapped with these in place.
My question is, once its got its Tek3, what happens if i put a different aftermarket filter in or change the aftermarket back box? Will the remap need adjusting?

many thanks.

smurfy.

Shouldn't need adjusting unless you are changing something that would significantly alter characteristics ( FMIC , bigger turbo , injectors etc etc )

If you put an Induction Kit on instead of the panel filter would cause a big difference in the map, so you would need to go back and have the map 'tweaked' to suit!

Best to contact the mapper to see if map needs changing before you change any parts in future!

I think it would be OK with the various different panel filters available without a remap, as there's not much difference between them. As Pickle says though, an induction kit would definitely need a map tweak. Back box, again, not a great deal of difference between them, so would probably be OK without.

When's it going in? You're part of the BRD Group Buy aren't you. Swine! (jealous as hell...! )

BOb would probably advise against the induction kit anyway. They can be a right pain in the a*$e for very little gain.

The STi Panel filter is supposed to be good for 350BHP.
