Default Problems with the GTB again

Hold throttle at steady revs ( pick any number below 2nd turbo coming in at 5,000 revs) and car feels like its unable to hold the fuel and starving its self of supply, just for a moment and thens it picks up again and drops off again... Driving me nuts (its almost like the old style cruise control going up a hill)

Electrics, fuel pump, first stage turbo, dirty pipes, exhaust rusting, lamda, ecu fault, diff, cr*p driver, all of the above !!

Who knows what the B stands for in Subaru motors - no its not Bilstien - more like B****CKS - sorry 22 B drivers but im fed up with it.

I know its only done 11K miles but the STI is already behaving like mans best friend. The GTB well its like the wife, If its not one thing its another.

Sorry you feel like that, most people find the GTB and B4 Legacy pretty reliable and trouble free. Could be something as simple as muck in the fuel filter, or a loose wire going to the fuel pump.

Try asking on the Yahoo B4 group, there's a lot more knowledge of the twin turbo EJ20 engines there.

Rich (happy with his 97 GTB)
