i was wondering if anyone can help took my car to power and engineering the other week because it was over boosting he took a pipe off and took out a small gromit with a hole through the middle and drilled this out another 0.01mm or something like that put it on the rolling road and it went fine 276bhp which i was chuffed about but the problem has come back but only in top gears 4th and 5th can anyone help with advice on what to do or should i take it back to power and edengineering??

Hi
I have a MY00 PPP which is decatted, the restricter had to be drilled out to 1.3mm to stop overboost.
I had a K & N 57i on for about a day, everytime i floored it in top gear it cut boost.(Still reading OK on AFR????Weird)
Now waiting for the TEK 3 to go on before putting the 57i back on.

could be boost creep - had it on my type r. Was fine with tek3, and full decat - as soon as I put an induction kit on, boost would raise above 1.6bar in 4th and 5th (at high load) ECU could not control boost, as wastegate could not bypass enough gas to stop turbo spinning. Took turbo in half, and ported the wastegate hole out (to leave a 1-2mm gap around wastegate penny) - problem solved (about 2-3 hrs work)
