I am considering purchasing a STI 7/8 TMIC from someone on here, I have a MY 99 UK Turvo currently at around 320hp with FE-TD05 and a full decat mapped by Pat, would there be significant improvements with the larger STI 7/8 IC? I dont want to go Front Mount so considering TM options.

 

think the sti 8 intercooler is almost double the size of the uk classic intercooler but im sure you have to move the power steering resevroir to make it fit in, you would need a mapto take advantage of the new sized intercooler, i added a larger custom TMIC and i had to get mine sorted as it gave the car more lag

 

Yep i think Bob Rawle did some tests and found sti7/8 tmic flowed better than sti5/6
