I'm looking to remove the resonator box and fit a K&N panel filter, what's the easiest way to remove the box and what do you guys recommend as a replacement to stop water entering?
And the ultimate question is it worth the effort?

The links appear to refer to a us model and the removal seems different for a UK 99. Has anyone removed the resonator on a UK MY99/00 ? What are the actual differences/things to watch out for compared to the the description in the previous link ?

 

I followed the link - IIRC it was a twenty minute job - did hack my hand to pieces on summat sharp though so be warned
