Default Size bolt, length, width, metric or standard for bosch sensor mount ?

Hi all,

Anyone have the exact size bolt to be used to mount the bosch knock link sensor to whole by the numbers for a new age block, length, width, metric or standard threads ?

Cheers,

Think classic's were M8 x 30 mm, metric thread, 30 mm long in a spare tapped hole in manifold.

Common bolt anyway!
Do a search on fitting - ozzy had one up, - it says on there

Hi Ray,

Not sure if you have it sorted out yet, but here is a picture of my Knocklink sensor location...

No worries... I just replaced the rusty bolt in the picture with a nice shiny one this weekend. It takes about 1/2 an hour to whip out the intercooler and put it back. Probably a lot faster if you have done it a couple of times before...

Hey,

Yeah I moved the sensor to the correct location this weekend

Took me over 1 1/2 hours, of course I strippedt the threads on the I/C mount bracket and had to drill a hold through and put on a very temp fix until I can have new threads machined in

Besides that the KL has much less activity in the new location; however, I am still getting amber lights under WOT above 4,000 rpms or so and Advance Multiplier is still only running 8 so defininately some det somewhere

Some other bad news is that I can't get the top big light on the KL to come on, I can get all the greens and ambers to come on via a light tap on bolt head but even if I hit the head very hard still no bright light.....sucks I guess I got a faulty KL but at least I know when ambers come on that is det so I guess it still has done its job..........my goal is nothing but greens so may stick back on the factory ecu.....I wish Pat or Pete would comment as this is their remmap....oh well.

Cheers,
Ray

Read somewhere else that the solder connecting the Big light on the KL tends to break and that this is quite common. I guess I will have to open my KL up and see re solder it. I really wish things would just work properly from the start

Cheers,
Ray
