I think you can! I 'adapted' my Stiv3 to TMIC spray very simply BUT my car has (had) a rear screen wash/wipe function.
Please read the thread on Gen Tech and Le Mans (I think) asking about the MRT wash bottle. I have detailed how i did it there.
As to will it make a difference, the Works did it but i'm not sure.about the plus side!
